Kinetic E-Luna launched in India at Rs 69,990

Today, Kinetic Green unveiled the E-Luna, an electric version of the Luna, with an initial retail price of Rs 69,990 (ex-showroom). Over 40,000 customers contacted Kinetic Green about the electric two-wheeler when bookings for the E-Luna started on January 26.
With a target market of both urban and rural residents, Kinetic Green hopes to sell one million E-Lunas by the year 2025. The total cost of ownership for an E-Luna, according to the business, would be less than Rs 2,500 a month.
The 150 kg payload capacity E-Luna, according to Kinetic Green, was entirely designed and engineered in India. A 2.2kW BLDC mid-mount motor and a 2kWh lithium-ion battery with an IP67 rating power the E-Luna. The electric two-wheeler features interchangeable battery options and fast-charging battery technology.
The E-Luna can travel up to 110 kilometers on a single full charge, but its maximum speed is 50 kilometers per hour. It takes four hours to fully charge its battery. Future alternatives for the E-Luna’s battery pack include 1.7kWh and 3.0kWh, according to the manufacturer.
High-strength steel, dual-tubular chassis serves as the foundation for the E-Luna. The front of the electric two-wheeler has telescopic forks, and its 16-inch wheels support it. It also has a combi-braking system.
The E-Luna features a digital instrument panel and a CAN-enabled communications protocol. Three riding modes, a detachable rearseat, a USB charging connector, and a side stand sensor are among the other noteworthy features.
“I am pleased to announce that the E-Luna is entirely designed and manufactured in India! Arun Firodia, Chairman of the Kinetic Group, added, “We are also happy to announce that the entire Kinetic Group has supported the E-Luna development.”
Kinetic Engineering, Kinetic Communications, and Kinetic Electric Motor Company, among other companies in our group, have created important components, including the chassis, transmission, digital cluster, smart controller, and motor of the E-Luna brand. “I am really happy with the result. The Kinetic Green team has worked incredibly hard over the last three years on the development of the E-Luna,” he continued.
Mulberry Red, Pearl Yellow, Night Star Black, Ocean Blue, and Sparkling Green are the five color options available for the E-Luna. Nationwide delivery of it will soon begin. It will be accessible on Flipkart and Amazon as well.
Sulajja Firodia Motwani, the founder and CEO of Kinetic Green, noted that the E-Luna goes above and beyond normal electric vehicle goods. It is intended for both personal and business use. “Symbolising innovation and minimalistic yet futuristic user-centric design, the E-Luna is fully made in India and designed for Bharat, reflecting our commitment to a sustainable, equitable, and progressive future,” she stated.
